Exheebeteeion Buuth

Part of the whole job scope of mine is to handle logistics if my company (as like the place I’m working at…duh!) participates in any events ranging from government to private sectors.

Three or four months back, I went to Kota Kinabalu, Sabah to set-up our booth and the items we brought from KL weren’t that much and therefore our booth sort of like look soooooooooooooooo simple…

We were given one booth space and the organizer placed us near the entrance so when they arrive the first thing they see is my booth..heheh. Unfortunately the location of the exhibition (MOF-Hari Bertemu Pelanggan) was at a place where it benefits the public not the exhibitioners.

The location was quite far from the main city, free parking space, no ‘hooha’ here and there about the event and I can actually count the number of people that visited our booth being two days there. At the end of the day, is not the public who visited us but exhibitors’ visit each other….sad but true (Metallica Rocks!)

My ED (Executive Director ler…) was quite upset with the outcome especially our booth that has no brand or style or in other words…cheap…sobsob. For that a meeting was held to propose a new booth set-up specifically for this sort of events that includes my company’s brand and style.

After all the quotations, design approval, product testing and trying to meet certain expectations…tadaaaaa….

We were involved in KLIIFEX06, an event that was held at PWTC for six days and the first time I set-up an exhibition with two booth space. My friend Brien (the branding man) was involved in this project and thank gawd for his creative ideas.

Moving forward, I need to figure out on how to bring all my exhibition stuff to Alor Setar, Kedah in two weeks time….aiseyyyy…

Happy Belated Birthday Day

Sunday morning, woke up at 10.00am, knowing that my lunch appointment is at 12.30 noon I took my time eating roti canai (…cold…) for a late breakfast and drank Pepsi Twist on the rocks….ain’t it healthy…hmmmmm

Reading the papers, browse the web, took my bath, wear my clothes and time was 12.45 noon with Adrian and his car waiting outside to pick me up. Undecided on our lunch spot, met up with Samira and JP at The Curve and decided to try out a new eatery place at CINELEISURE.

The place offered sort of like Japanese plus Steamboat dish and it was called..errrr....’fill in the blanks’ Syabu Syabu.. They had something like the Kaiten Belt that I normally see in Sushi King with coloured plates representing different prices. Just that these mini dishes has to be cooked with the selected soup. Sukiyaki soup was our choice after identifying the other three flavours that did not suit most of our taste. Everyone ordered their own choice of food and for me a nice Shashimi Set. We actually shared our own choice of meal with everyone on the table when May came late with her wake up from bed look…kakakaka.

Being a new place, the waiter kept coming to our table hoping to refill our green tea drinks and provide good service…first impression as some may say…yet hopefully it stays that way all the time. We actually planned to enjoy ourselves with a karaoke session but before we had our lunch I was informed that it was closed. Thinking of another place where we could hang out together and have some fun, all agreed to go bowling at One Utama’s new wing.

~After a good meal at the new lunch spot~

Before our destination to One Utama, Renee and Samira wanted to look at some furniture’s since IKEA was nearby therefore we took a side trip. Me and Adrian went to the car park to put my gifts before joining the rest at IKEA when suddenly Samira called informing that the Red Box is open for business. I was actually quite surprise because she told me it was closed for renovation but when she walk through another path it seems the place was still operational…sigh….mira oh mira..

~IKEA here we go!~

Cancelled our bowling session and off we go for a wonderful karaoke session that lasted four (4) hours nevertheless it was one of those best moments that I will cherish being a birthday day outing with friends.

~The girls were surely enjoying themselves~

7.00 pm was the time and thanked each other for the great company as we departed ourselves back home. Hmmm..actually I did not go back home but spent some time with a certain group of friends till 11.30 pm which I can’t reveal as for personal and confidential reasons…mwahahaha.

Back home, opened all my gifts and here were the things that they gave me…

Mangalooney

Last night on my way back home, thundering sounds roar the air, fast rhythm beats filled the atmosphere, blinding light surrounds every corner…….. but then again it was just a normal heavy rain yet somehow I felt excited about it….geeeeez.

I guess during my day at work, I found out some interesting facts about certain colleagues of mine who shares the same interest plus my long awaited pre-ordered anime OST’s and DVD’s finally arrived and waiting for me back home to be explored as soon as possible.

For dinner, me and my younger brother went to TESCO to buy ourselves some ala carte meal from Madam Lim Restaurant..or was it cafĂ©..anyway the food is good but kind of pricy…..sigh.

Decided to go to BORDERS to check out whether any of my favourite manga which I don’t have is on the shelves. By the way I notice that they have add more book shelves for the Manga and Comic section plus a whole lot of books to choose from zero (0) to Z. Being a normal human, sometimes I forget what mangas that I wish to purchase. Thanks to my handphone organizer, I managed to figure out what to buy with of course a budget less than RM150.

It felt like Manga heaven, browsing through every title from top to bottom and manage to get myself two volumes of Battle Angel Alita: The Last Order and one volume from Berserk and Death Note. Few months back before the release of Death Note’s anime and movie, you could see a row of its manga but now only three volumes left on the shelf. I have been a fan of Death Note since its first manga release (english version of course) and didn’t realize it could be a big hit. Ahaks!…what can you expect from a good storyline and interesting characters such as Light Yagami aka Kira and L. I haven’t seen the anime or even the movie but sooner or later I will.

After dinner and a nice COLD bath, open the delivered package and picked Steel Angel Kurumi + Encore and watched all the episodes which ended at 3 am. The anime was recommended by a certain friend of mine. A fun anime to watch and especially Kurumi who always ends her words with…desuuuu…so kawaiiii!!!!
